Server Maintenance [23/01/2009]

Postby Jake on Fri Jan 23, 2009 1:12 pm

As of 1:00 GMT our technicians have started performing maintenance on our servers, we have disabled the main site and any new registrations. Forum attachments and mass mail has also been disabled, for now we have not disabled any of our users forums completely.

This work is being carried out to prevent automated bots registering and then spamming our users forums, which was done in the past few days. A lot of bandwidth was also used up in these attacks and this may result in users forums going down over the next few days or so.

Update:
I would like to apologize for the downtime earlier, our technicians were recompiling Apache and PHP.

We completed this today, and moved over to a new data center.
All forums have been restored, and mass-mail has been re enabled so you can email your members. Forum attachments will be enabled tomorrow as soon as we finish moving all of them over.
If you find any errors, please post in our support forums or PM me.

Thanks,
Jake
